Faith in Action Book Group (via zoom)
This regional book group is designed to offer race related discussions and ultimately better equip participants for their work of creating a more just world. The study will begin on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 7:00-8:30 pm using the fictional novel The Heaven and Earth Grocery by James McBride. The book details the lives of black and Jewish residents of the Chicken Hill neighborhood of Pottstown, PA in the 1920s and ’30s and opens in 1972 with skeletal remains in bottom of well. To join the discussion, contact the church office for the zoom link and schedule.
